MS Word Macros

Word 97 / 2000

- English -

Here is a set of many useful macros. Similar macros are placed in groups that are listed alphabetically. Each group of macros is embedded in a Word template (*.dot). To be ready for use, a template-document must be copied to the Office folder STARTUP.

It's a good idea downright to go for the Macro-Gallery that comprises all macros in one. It also contains a complete Description of all macros, which you should copy first in any case.

word1.gif All Icons - This is a single macro that generates a number of icon bars, in which you will find all the icons used in the MS-Word application. They are over 1000.
  • The macro is executed just one time. You will find the newly created bars using menu View / Icon - bars.

  • AutoNew in this version 1. activates automatic hyphenation, 2. activates zoom = pagewidth, 3. sets footer margin to 1,5 cm (necessary for some printers), 4. establishes footer including user name, document name and page numbers.
  • AutoExec opens the document last used and places the cursor to the postion last modified.
  • AutoOpen same as before for any document that is opened again.
